Happy Bass Season Opener!

Bass season 2017 kicks off today and we've already seen a few beauties come in to get their portrait taken by the famous Poplars sign - including 3x 4 pounders!

If you're preparing for your Poplars vacation and are wondering what the current fishing conditions are like, you've come to the right spot! Bass are currently off the beds. The water is 67F today and is still slightly higher than normal with weeds above average for this time of year. Early season fishing patterns apply with shallow cranks, spinnerbaits, and topwaters across the flats or wacky worms and creature baits under trees and pads.
