Two More Cookouts

Last week's cook out had a Christmas in July theme...complete with appropriate music including “It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas”. Apparently we should have had a Christmas hat contest, we would have had a runaway winner... But the ice cream was Moose Tracks, which we renamed Reindeer Tracks in honor of the occasion. A delicious combination of creamy vanilla ice cream with chewy chocolate fudge ripple and mini peanut butter cups....and yummy was heard all around the resort! This Saturday was the sixth cook out for the season. We made it six for six outside this year...unbelievably beautiful weather! The theme this week was the 80's which was heartily embraced by our staff. All dolled up and looking fine as they served up fresh corn on the cob along with our traditional fare that bore nontraditional names, featuring Bodacious Broccoli Salad, Party On Pasta Salad, Righteous Potato Salad and Totally Awesome Spinach Salad.  The ice cream was another winner, Black Cherry.      

And now it feels like Christmas in July as the temperature took a nosedive with the rain.

The weather today is a bit unpredictable as the clouds move in and give way to sunshine...keeps it interesting!
