Lake Trout

Now that June has arrived, the water is warming up and the fish are getting more active. We had a “first” for us this week--- guests who were trolling for Pike in Indian Lake caught a 5 lb. Lake Trout in 15 feet of water.  Numerous Splake are caught every year but this is the first Laker we have seen caught here at The Poplars. Bass are on their beds now and the water temperatures are in the high 60's.  The Crappie are moving to the main lake but still biting off main & secondary points.
