They Flew Through the Air

Happy early December--- the lake is frozen and the Ranger is put to bed for the winter.We have had about a foot of snow but a few warm spells have melted most of it now.

Dave took Becky & I up in a plane to fly over Newboro Lake before it froze.  I was hoping to see some underwater structure from 1,000 feet up that I can not see from my boat. With the late fall clear water and the weeds all gone I thought I might be able to see a few more fishing hot spots---alas no such luck, but it was fun to fly in a 50 year old plane and see The Poplars Resort from the sky.  The interior looked amazingly like the 1957 VW beetle my roommate had in my university days.
