September Fishing at Poplars Resort

Finally starting to warm up after 10 days of dropping temperatures. Water is starting to warm again and we may see some late summer shallow Bass action before the lake turns and they all start heading deep.  Larger Pike have been caught this week on spinnerbaits and wacky worms have caught lots of small to medium size Bass.  20 to 30 feet down with a drop shot has produced some 2 to 3 lb. Smallies.  Crappies are still suspended in the main channels over deeper water and are biting well. Fishing should be good this weekend--- I'll keep you posted.
